Portfolio Preparation- Postcard Design
This project involves designing a kiosk that would be placed in a business with the purpose that it would make ordering or checking in easier for customers.
Students designed a mobile app for a company. They focused on solving issues of navigation, ordering and purchasing, security, etc.
For the Senior Portfolio show, students decide on a theme and vote on their favorite design concept that will be used in the marketing for the show. This was the theme from 2016.
Package Design- Pet Peepz Project
Foundations- Stylistic Cube Project
This project involved designing 2 sauces, 3 spices in a box set as well as 2 utensils. Students focused on carrying branding across product lines and legal compliance.
Students had to design 3 pieces of packaging for Pet Peepz, a fictitious pet line. They had to make the packaging bilingual as if the product were going to be sold in the US or Canada.
Students had to choose a art or design style and create a cube designed around it. They had to use a combinations of image and typography to tell the story.
Typography- Typographer Poster
Typography- Ancient Letterform
Students were given two letters, one number, a shape and a color and had to make a 9"x9" composition based upon their selection. The students learned about design principles.
In this project, students picked a famous typographer and designed a poster based upon their research on the designer and had to use the full alphabet and numbers.
Students designed a typographic layout based upon an ancient letterform. They chose one letterform from the Greek alphabet and one from the Phoenician alphabet.
